There has been no point in looking for the sun in recent days, and the forecasts are not optimistic either. As I write this text, snow is falling outside the window. Inspired by the purchase of a new burrow, I planned to try out the new equipment on the lake mud, but the lack of light caused this plan to be temporarily postponed. Instead, I went to the forest. I wanted to check if I would be able to locate any photographically interesting motifs at temperatures around 0 degrees. I also continued to check the focus-stacking technique in practice and use a small ring LED lamp to highlight objects in photos. By the way, I found out that my tripod was damaged and I would have to look for a new one.

Even though it was quite cold, you can still find some different inedible but photogenic fungi in the forest. I am also constantly fascinated by the mossy bases of old beech trees. In this forest I feel an element of nature, something ephemeral that I want to commune with. Something that simply attracts you. And it looked like this…
