In the previous post I presented spring frolics of gray toads. Now it’s time to look at what frogs do after waking up, around mid-March. And they do basically the same thing as toads – they head to shallow waters to mate and spawn. It’s just a short time and you have to be very lucky to hit the right day. I have not succeeded so far. Each time I appeared by the pond when there was squawk already, and there were only a few intensely blue colored frogs. So it was also this time. Nevertheless, the possibility of observing a large accumulation of amphibians that were not very timid in this period was very exciting.
